What is an Authorized Contact?

An authorized contact is someone that you authorize to have access to your pre-tax accounts. An authorized contact can obtain information on account balances, past and current claims, debit card transactions, and other details of your Vita Flex accounts.

Why is this necessary?

Because your Vita Flex account may contain Protected Health Information (PHI), representatives at Vita are not able to give certain account details to anyone other than the actual Vita Flex account holder or an authorized contact. If you wish to have anyone other than yourself have access to your account, you will need to complete a request to add an authorized contact to your account. Please note, if you have listed a beneficiary on your account, Vita does not automatically add those listed beneficiaries as authorized contacts.

How do I add an Authorized Contact?

To add an authorized contact, please contact the Vita Concierge. The team may be reached Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, at (650) 966-1492 or help@vitamail.com.

Please note that all emailed requests must come from the email address that we have on file for your account. You can verify which email is on file by visiting your Profile Summary on the Vita Flex Consumer Portal at www.vitaflex.net.

You will need to provide the following information for the individual you are establishing as an authorized contact:

  • First and last name
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Last 4 Digits of the SSN
